“When I sit down to write... I do not say to myself, ‘I am going to produce a work of art.’ I write it because there is some lie that I want to expose, some fact to which I want to draw attention, and my initial concern is to get a hearing.”

— George Orwell—

The 2018 Indiana County Fair

Over the past few years I've developed a great working relationship with Jeremy from dDaniel Advertising of Beaver Falls, PA. I've become his go-to-guy regarding the press for the Indiana County Fair.

This was my first project for him and being born and raised just outside of downtown Pittsburgh, rural life was alien territory to me. I started with a deep dive into the demographics of the area and the history of the headlining band - High Valley - enabling me to tell a relatable and intriguing story that lead to attendance figures that outpaced neighboring fairs.

"Growing Up Chatham"

I was lucky enough to grow up at just the right time - just before kids became distracted with smartphones and screens - and in just the right place: Chatham Village. It was an absolutely idyllic childhood filled with adventures in the woods; street hockey and football in the fall and winter; and whiffle ball in the spring and summer. It's not hyperbole to describe it as damn near Rockwellian.

As a member of the Village's Communications Committee I've made it my mission to solidify this secluded little enclave, right outside of downtown Pittsburgh, as the perfect place to raise a family.

Consumer Portfolio Services

This is another project I did for dDaniel Advertising. They wanted ideas for a script featuring Jerome Bettis. Their client, Consumer Portfolio Services, provides car loans to sub-prime buyers, including those in open bankruptcy.

My script featured a man down on his luck, waiting for a bus because he couldn't afford a car. Enter Jerome Bettis and his friendly advice about CPS.
